Macmillan Coffee Morning – Tithebarn

This is just a little note to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who donated, time, cakes & funds to the Macmillan Coffee Morning. The charity coffee morning took place on Friday 27th September, in the Dome at Exeter Science Park. The Dome is a fantastic venue to host events like this, with its festoon lighting & brightly coloured décor, it’s a really fun environment to host an in. Most importantly it’s a great resource that is available for community use & hire. The event was well supported by staff & local residents, with lots of beautiful cakes. Including a showstopper donated by Kris, who owns The Cake Corner! Other local businesses donated to the raffle, with vouchers from local pubs, the Edgy Therapist & Kidslingo Spanish lessons. The community support was fantastic & ultimately resulted in us raising over £270 for Macmillan. This money goes towards funding vital cancer support, in the form of cancer information packs (for those who are newly diagnosed), online & in-person community support, financial support, nurses, and so much more. If you would like to know more about the fantastic work Macmillan do, or some of the cancer support they offer, please see their website at www.macmillan.org.uk. I look forward to hosting similar events in the future and to meeting more of the local community. Rosie Robinson
