- The PCSO role is different to Response policing which deals with incidents. The control room in Exeter co-ordinates dispatches to Tithebarn and these may come from Exmouth, Exeter or Honiton depending on who is closest. The Response Policing has Dogs and Armed Response on all night,
- The PCSO role is about engaging with the public, liaising with community groups and dealing with lower level crime such as dog incidents, neighbourhood disputes, reassurance visits after a crime and providing visibility.
