The Tithebarn Fun Day was a celebration of everything our community is about. Diverse locals coming together to enjoy time with each other. Affordable activities generously funded by local businesses and organisations. Vibrant volunteers working together to share their time and experience to make it happen. All with a BIG focus on FUN!
The first (residents association organised) Tithebarn Fun Day saw beautiful weather to welcome the queueing locals eager to get in and begin the free activities on offer. And there was plenty to do. Mosshayne Farm had 86 veggie monsters created by cunning crafters, cucumbers and cocktail sticks. Congratulations to Orlando for his deserving winning entry. The farm also hosted the messy egg throwing and strenuous welly wangling too.
In the centre was The Engine Gym running regular keep fit activities and strength challenges. They came down from their base in the Science Park to keep us sweating and encourage everyone to get involved.
Kids were queueing to let of steam too with two bouncy castles to choose from, plus circus skills to test co-ordination and balance. And of course the face-painting was a great hit as well.
Crafters were also kept busy with lots of interest in their locally made products, as were Ember Pizza (who had sold out by 3pm), The Local Scoop ice-cream, Snowy Cones and Exmouth’s The Best Kept Secret mobile bar and café.
