SUMMARY:RA May-26: Residents Association Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Minutes – Redhayes Management Company\n\nAlthough distinct and separate from the Tithebarn Residents Association\, as an affected resident Marc agreed to minute the meeting and share via their distribution channels.   It was agreed that Marc would set up a website called https://redhayes.uk/ where future information would be shared.\nPrior to the meeting Marc shared a briefing paper that is now available at https://redhayes.uk/meetings/briefing-paper/  \nThe Articles of Association were also referred to and are online now at https://redhayes.uk/legal/articles-of-association/  \nVarious additional questions were asked and these will be added to the website Q&A\, with answers as they are known. \nMarc also set up a WhatsApp Community and all people covered by the Redhayes area are encouraged to join at https://chat.whatsapp.com/F3KZNQJXEGOL7PT7ewzUVP \n\n____ \nMinutes – Residents Association\nFun Day\n\nThe Tithebarn Fun Day is scheduled for 1st August\, 12noon to 4pm and will take place in the Pocket Park\, the MUGA and the grass area next to the Pocket Park. \nTinashe Verhaeghe chairs the organising committee so that go to her and the volunteers.  Meetings are held on various Mondays at voco Zeal hotel.  Watch the Event Planning chat for more details.  \nEagle One have been informed and our suggested date for response has now passed.  \nRepair works in the Pocket Park continue.  Although they are anticipated to have finished by the date\, the far end of the Town Square will be used as needed. \nStrawberry Fields café have also been informed although they are not permitted to sell icecreams as part of their property agreement\, and don’t have outside coffee facilities that could be used.   \nArticle has gone into the Broadsheet that is due out at the start of June.   Volunteers for organising tasks in the run up\, and staffing on the day will be requested after this is distributed.   \n\n  \nCare Home\n\nAppeal date is 29th July.  However because it was a resubmitted application rather than a fresh application the community will now not get the £1 offer for potential community space land above Tesco site. \nCORRECTION:  A fresh application was submitted but it was refused to be considered by EDDC and the application fee returned.  Instead there is now an appeal\, and the £1 offer has been attached to it for consideration. Consultation is still open until 5th June for any interested parties to lodge an opinion.\n\n  \nPaula Fernley Updates\n\nThe Primary School is officially still planned to open in Sept 2028 but doubts are cast about the likelihood of this happening with both the closing window for starting to dig\, the increasing costs of building supplies and the reorganisation of DCC and EDDC into a single authority.\n\n\nPaths\n\nThe path from Langaton Lane to West Clyst will be opening\, although a timeframe is unknown.  It will be directly after the motorway bridge tunnel on the right.   \nDiscussions moved onto the issues with walking to Pinhoe including lighting\, graffiti\, flooding and isolation.  It was also remembered that next to the Scout land is a community field that remains underutilised.  It was felt that more collaboration with Pinhoe community might result in a better experience between the two towns and could include planters and murals.  Anyone interested in connecting with Pinhoe community or taking these ideas forward should make themselves known please. \n\nParish Council\n\nThe council continues to have vacancies and residents are encouraged to represent the local area by joining._____\n\n\nAgenda \n1. Discussion about upcoming Redhayes Management Company (up to / no longer than 1 hr)  Briefing paper \n2. TRA meeting agenda: \n\nFunday update\nUpdate on Care Home Planning Application (incl. £1 offer for land)  The appeal is due to be held on 29th July 2026\, as per letter: 25.1342.mful.hn\nUpdate from Paula on all things East Devon\nBroadclyst Parish Council: Elections next year\nAOB
